Tucker Carlson Under Attack by Podesta Group … Do You Have His Back?

Kirsters Baish| Just yesterday, Tony Podesta who is the founder of the Pedestal Group made the announcement that he would be leaving his position from the firm. This announcement came after he was placed under investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller.

The investigation in which Podesta and his firm will be carefully scrutinized came after an examination of Paul Manafort’s finances. Manafort had organized a PR campaign thanks to the nonprofit called the European Centra for a Modern Ukraine. The Podesta Group was one of numerous firms who were paid to work on the campaign in order to promote Ukraine in the United States.

It wasn’t long after Podesta decided to step down that the lobbyist began his own legal battle. He surprised us all when he targeted Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson.

The Daily Caller reported:

Tucker told his audience last night, “Podesta isn’t just complaining about us, he’s threatening us.”

He continued, saying that the letter, “demands that the show ‘immediately cease and desist disseminating false and misleading reports about Mr. Podesta and the Podesta group.’ It demands we retract and delete all our prior reporting on the Podesta group and warns that if we don’t do this, ‘Mr. Podesta may pursue legal action, including for damages in order to fully protect his rights.”

Carlson was quoted saying, “Podesta’s lawyer wasn’t trying to inform us of anything — but to threaten us, to shut down our reporting on his client. One lawyer we talked to earlier today said the Podesta people have used this tactic with others before, it’s common. It’s an effort to use fear to control press coverage. We’re not intimidated, we have ample evidence from Mueller’s indictment and from a number of confidential sources to paint a pretty clear picture of exactly what the Podesta Group was doing for years here in Washington. We’ll let the facts speak for themselves, and we’re confident the Mueller investigation will be revealing a lot more about his lobbying practices in the near future.”

Americans are on to Podesta and his tricks. Tucker Carlson isn’t an idiot, and he, like the rest of us, are completely baffled by Podesta’s actions.

While his segment was airing, Carlson also sent out the following tweets:

Carlson explained that the funniest line of the letter was the claim by Podesta’s lawyer that stated “Paul Manafort did not work with the Pedestal Group in its representation of the European center for a modern Ukraine.”

Tucker explained that it was more than obvious that the lawyer didn’t even read the Manafort indictment, because if he had he would have realized that it had stated the exact opposite of what he was claiming.

Podesta sees Tucker Carlson as a very real threat, so he is demanding a retraction.. but that’s not all. He wants any and all previous reporting on him deleted from Fox News’s archives. Is this guy for real?!
